Training seminars, know to us as Gasshuku’s, are held nationally and internationally several times during the year.
These are held by the senior instructor in different places during the year such as Mackay, Newcastle, Sydney, Goulburn and Canberra. Students of all ages and grades are welcome to train at these events. International guest instructors travel to Australia to each year to spread and share their knowledge, this includes Sensei Bakkies Laubscher from South Africa and also Sensei Morio Higaonna, who is the world chief instructor of the IOGKF. These training seminars are a great way to meet and train with new people and also at these seminars you will take a large amount of knowledge home with you.
International training seminars are held in different countries throughout the year. Sensei Paul Parlett travels up to three times a year to overseas events, these countries have included New Zealand, Canada, Scotland, Thailand and Okinawa Japan. These are not just countries that he has visited on holidays, these are countries that he had attended official training. Do not be fooled by instructors who claim that they have trained in countries where they just went for holidays or had a stopover in. Please contact myself, a senior grade from the IOGKF or contact the countries chief instructor if in doubt.
